The most-streamed Classic Rock song of all time has been revealed and you'll probably be in no way surprised to hear it's Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.

Universal Music Group announced the news today as the track and official video - from the band's 1975 album A Night at the Opera - blew past 1.6 BILLION streams globally.

This also makes Bohemian Rhapsody the most-streamed song from the 20th century, across all major streaming services.

"Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the greatest songs by one of the greatest bands in history," Lucian Grainge, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group, said.

"We are so proud to represent Queen and are thrilled to see the song still inspiring new fans around the world more than four decades after its release.

"My congratulations to Queen and Jim Beach [the band's long-term manager] on an incredible achievement that is a testament to the enduring brilliance of Queen.

Shout-out to Brian May for finding the time to create a cracking pun to go along with the good news; the group's guitarist said: "So the River of Rock Music had metamorphosed into streams!

"Very happy that our music is still flowing to the max!"

The news comes just days after the movie of the same name was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards, including a Best Actor nod for lead actor Rami Malek.
