An epic show

I don’t say “that was the greatest gig EVER….” very often, but last night’s Prophets of Rage gig at the Hordern was an epic show. A great example of what we’ve been missing in the Australian live scene.
This hip hop/ rock supergroup, finally made their way to Australia for the first time after a successful North American tour. Created from members of Rage Against The Machine, Cypress Hill and Public Enemy – after Donald Trump was voted into power – they used that anger to fuel this incredible show.
The crowds at Download are in for a huge treat, and if you look at the setlist – you can see why.
The highlight was unexpected, a salute to Chris Cornell – a non-vocal version of Like a Stone – the crowd singing along just topped it off.
