At the end of an explosive set a last nights SOLD OUT The Great Circle Melbourne show at Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Midnight Oil’s guitarist James 'Jim' Moginie fell, cutting the bands set short.
The fall happened during the band’s hit King of the Mountain and although in pain Moginie continued playing, with the bands frontman Peter Garrett checking in with the guitarist throughout the song.
Returning to the stage for an encore, Garrett announced; “Jim’s had a fall and won’t be coming out for this song” as the band went a stripped back version of Blue Sky Mining’s One Country.
This morning the band released a statement earlier confirming the injury;
“He’s fine and in good spirits but is in hospital with a badly pulled hamstring”.

It is unsure if Jim will be able to play the next four shows that see’s the end massive world tour, he might need to borrow Dave Grohl's thrown:
