WATCH: New Linkin Park Music Video And Gig Announced
Touching tribute
Chester Bennington, Linkin Park
Linkin Park have released a brand new music video and announced a new live gig overnight, both in tribute to Chester Bennington.
The band who lost their much loved frontman just months ago to suicide have dropped a single for the bands single, One More Light from the album by the same name.
The song that was co-written with a friend of the band, Eg White, who sadly passed away from cancer, visits the topics of death and grieving now holds a new meaning after Bennington’s death.
The haunting lyrics sang by Bennington “Who cares if one more light goes out, well I do” sends shivers given the timing of the single release.
Talking of the single, Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda says;
“One More Light was written with the intention of sending love to those who lost someone. We now find ourselves on the receiving end. In memorial events, art, videos, and images, fans all over the world have gravitated towards this song as their declaration of love and support for the band and the memory of our dear friend, Chester. We are so very grateful and can’t wait to see you again.”
