5. Red Hill Mining Town
The political driven song, an observance of the state of the U.K under Thatchers leadership, is wedged nicely in the middle of the album.

4. Where The Streets Have No Names
The opening track from the album, has won the band a Grammy award and has been a staple in the bands live set since being released.

3. One Tree Hill

Released as a single in Australia and New Zealand and reaching #4 on the charts, the song was developed in a jam session with the albums producer Brian Eno.

2. Running To Stand Still
Another live favourite, this song is strongly influenced by American folk and blues music.

1. With Or Without You
A tear jerker, a touching song, the lead single released on this day in 1987.
The band’s first #1 and most successful song to date, it’s no wonder Triple M listeners voted this as the number 1 song on The Joshua Tree.
