Ahead of Father’s Day this Sunday we dug deep in the vaults and found this cracking interview with Triple M’s Fitz and the one and only Dave Grohl.
In this 2011 interview the two bond over the joy of being a father.
Talking to Fitz, Grohl explains how much touring has changed now he is a father.
“We hardly go out for 14 days at a time. On the road I get 5 minutes alone, but when I get home they kids call out Daddy and my life is this (Foo Fighters) and them”.
Backstage is now more accommodating for the kids than the band.
“When you have a kid it opens up all these new channels of emotion and perspective” - when it comes to songwriting as a father.
