The popular shopping strip is set to be closed for a month while the tram tracks are replaced.
The announcement comes from the Holdfast Council despite the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure trying to keep it under wraps.
Apparently they wanted to drop the news after Easter but the Council’s jumped the gun.
Works are likely to happen between April 26 and May 19, causing havoc for traders and commuters.
