A man in Adelaide has been given a 10-month jail sentence after assaulting a stranger with a thong.
Dylan Matthew Lawson’s thong came off as he crossed Grote St in November last year, leading to an argument with a driver who braked as he was grabbing his thong from the street.
The 37-year-old then got into an altercation with another man who Lawson believed had made a comment about the argument.
“You slapped him with the thong that you were holding,” District Court judge Michael Boylan said.
“While he was on the ground you kicked him a number of times with your bare foot and you also punched him a number of times before walking off.”
