Extreme Fire Danger Puts SA's Voting Day Snags At Risk

If you’re planning on snagging a sausage when you vote on Saturday, you might be out of luck.

The CFS has issued a total fire ban and rated the fire danger as ‘Severe’ for various areas across the state, including Mount Lofty Ranges.

This means groups (AKA legends) who intend to fire up the barbie in the following locations will have to obtain a free permit - and we're praying they do.

Suburbs affected include:

  • Adelaide Hills,
  • Alexandrina
  • Barossa
  • Burnside
  • Campbelltown
  • Gawler
  • Mitcham
  • Mount Barker
  • Onkaparinga
  • Playford
  • Salisbury
  • Tea Tree Gully
  • Victor Harbor
  • Yankalilla

If you're planning on cooking some snags on the day, you can contact your local council now to grab a permit.

The Bureau of Meteorology predicts temperatures will reach 35*C with a winds increasing to 40 km/h.
