A vacant house has been completely destroyed in a suspected arson attack at Elizabeth Park.
Emergency services responded to several 000 calls reporting that the house on Hayles Rd was engulfed in flames in the early hours of Monday morning.
It took 24 firefighters over 90 minutes to contain the fire while battling tricky weather conditions.
The fire ripped through the property, destroying the roof and floor, causing a damage bill estimated to be $250,000.
The home had been vacant for several months.
