South Australia Police have confirmed a new search will commence into the disappearance of the Beaumont children in Adelaide’s south-west.

The whereabouts of Jane, Arnna and Grant Beaumont remains a mystery after they went missing from a beach in Glenelg on January 26, 1966.

The case has been the subject of a review by SAPOL's Major Crime Investigation Branch over the last 12 months, and fresh information from witnesses has sparked plans to excavate a North Plympton factory site.

In conjunction with information from a Channel 7 report, police are to examine a new area at the rear of a factory North Plympton factory site which is now Castalloy.

No date has been confirmed, however it is expected that this will be done within the next few weeks.

The dig follows an earlier excavation at the same property by police in 2013 in which nothing was located.

This investigation remains open and police encourage anyone with information to come forward.

A reward of $1 million has been offered by the State Government in connection with the case and anyone with fresh information should call 1800 333 000 or report online.
