Port Adelaide has launched an investigation into allegations against young player Sam Powell-Pepper, according to Channel 7 News in Adelaide.
A woman alleges that Powell-Pepper stuck his hands down her skirt at a nightclub in Adelaide.
“We were all just dancing on the platform of Mr Kim’s and I feel a hand go not just on my butt as you do, like down my skirt,” the woman said on 7 News.
She alleges the hand belonged to 20-year-old Port midfielder Powell-Pepper.
Port Adelaide released the following statement on Twitter:
Channel 7 reported that Powell-Pepper is likely to be stood down for this weekend’s game against Essendon at Etihad Stadium, and that the matter is likely to be referred to the AFL.
