Following his failure to qualify for the Australian Open, Bernard Tomic is apparently set to turn his sights to reality television.
Australian tennis legend Roger Rasheed joined Triple M Adelaide this morning and dropped the massive bombshell that Tomic is headed into the South African jungle for Channel 10's upcoming season of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.
Tomic, fresh from his failure to qualify for the Aus Open after previously turning down the opportunity to play in a Wildcard tournament, told reporters that he was too busy "counting his millions", comments that Rasheed looked as a defensive mechanism by Tomic.
“He’s a lost soul,” Rasheed told Triple M.
“He’s made those comments before - I think we’ll see him make a few in the Jungle."
Rasheed then doubled down on his comment that he's heard Tomic will be appearing in Channel 10's reality program.
“Apparently he is going in the Jungle… well that’s what I’m hearing," Rasheed said.
“There is a tennis player going in (to the Jungle) apparently, so there’ll be some very interesting quotes if that does happen.”
If the rumours are true, it would mean for some must see TV.
