‘Traffic Thursday’, the SAPOL road safety campaign unveiled last month, returns today and is targeting the use (or lack thereof) of indicators.
That includes not giving sufficient warning before changing direction, not waiting 5 seconds before taking off from the side of the road and failing to cancel signals after changing lanes.
Drivers who don't indicate correctly may be given a warning or fined for an offence.
The once-a month road safety campaign kicked-off in July with a look at keeping to the left on multi-lane roads.
More than 220 people were stopped with only around 19 fined.
