Emergency Services have been called out to just a handful of jobs overnight but are urging residents in the Adelaide Hills to sandbag their homes to prevent flooding which is still a risk today.

After rain hit the Hills yesterday the Onkaparinga River and areas above Verdun are on flood watch.

Ian Bonython from the SES says 'our focus is assisting the residents to ensure their structures are safe and ensuring that we get the message out about not going through flooded waters'.

While drivers should take it easy on the roads.
