Three Crows, Two Power Players Make All Australian Team

It was a big night for Adelaide's footy teams at the All Australian function at Melbourne's Palais Theatre.

Of a record 8 players nominated, 3 Crows have made the final 22 - defender Rory Laird, forward Eddie Betts and midfielder Matt Crouch.

Laird lines up at half back, Betts was picked in the forward pocket while Crouch's first selection sees him recognised with on the Interchange.

Laird's averaging a career-best 30 touches, Crouch a career-best 33 disposals while Betts has kicked more goals this season than any other small forward in his position.

It's also Betts' 6th time he's been included in the All Australian squad.

Port Adelaide had 2 of their 3 nominations selected.

Gun midfielder Robbie Gray earned his third All Australian nod at half forward while Paddy Ryder's selection in the ruck comes after sitting out the entire 2016 season.

Gray only needs to be picked for the All Australian team one more time to equal club record-holder Warren Tredrea, who ironically is on the selection panel.

Richmond Vice-Captain Alex Rance was named as a Captain with West Coast's Josh Kennedy recognised as Vice-Captain.
