It's been played for as long as anyone can remember

The annual Landmark Country Football Championships, held each July.

Footy players from right across the state head to Perth to represent their region with pride and impress on the big stage in front of potential selectors.

This years poor showing from the GSFL has raised serious questions about the Great Southern's involvement in future competitions.

Some have suggested withdrawing from future years to focus on making the local league more competitive.

Footy commentator and Out Of Bounds regular Glenn Barndon attended this years tournament in Perth and shared his thoughts on the future of the competition.
