The popular Ellen Cove jetty will undergo much needed reconstruction works commencing on Monday, February 19.
The jetty, which is one of the oldest in Albany, requires replacement due to the deterioration of the timbers and will be unavailable to the public until Friday, March 23.

A section of the swimming enclosure will be lowered by about a metre to allow a barge carrying equipment and materials to access the site for the duration of the works.

A 10 metre exclusion zone will also be established around the jetty to ensure public safety.
Visitors to the area should be cautious when swimming in the area and obey the exclusion zone.
Signs have been erected at Middleton Beach to inform the public of the work and notify them the enclosure is not secure.
