Former GSFL player with North Albany Declan Mountford has earned a one year contract to stay at the North Melbourne AFL Club.
Originally from Manypeaks, Mountford was one of 11 debutants in 2017 after spending his first season at the club playing in the VFL.
Mountford has impressed officials with his work ethic and that resulted in him cementing his place in the senior team.
Since the 2017 AFL season finished over a month ago, Mountford was happy to be back visiting family and friends in the Great Southern and expects North Melbourne to improve significantly in 2018 after a disappointing 2017 where they fell out of finals contention.
