Get ready for a new era of the Albany Visitors Centre

After many years at the historic railway station building on Proudlove Parade, the centre will open at its York Street premises in the Albany CBD on Good Friday ready for the busy Easter period.

There will be some minor disruptions over the next few weeks, however a pop up service will operate in the Albany Public Library until Sunday, March 25th.

From Monday, March 26th to Thursday, March 29th, a pop-up information stand will be available from the sea container in Town Square.

Visitor Services Project Leader Hamish Fell said the new Visitor Centre would implement a range of new technologies and will allow patrons to see Albany in ways never seen before.

The new Visitor Centre has been funded by a combination of Australian Government funding from the National Stronger Regions Fund through Regional Development Australia, the Tourism Demand Driven Infrastructure Fund and the State Government’s Regional Visitor’s Centre Sustainability Fund through Tourism Western Australia, with additional support from Great Southern Development Commission.
