One Albany sports team has had a break through
30 year drought over!
Congratulations to the Albany Cricket Association for winning the Toyota Country Cup for the first time in 30 years.
Rewind back to the last time the cup came to Albany and in 1987, the population of Albany was less than 30,000, Max Headroom was at the height of his powers and you could do a Yorkie without worrying about speed humps.
The team, affectionately known as the Whalers defeated Bunbury in the Twenty 20 final in Perth and Terry Eaton from the ACA was very happy with the drought breaking weekend result.
