Following on from a successful alumni including Colin Fassnidge, Adam Liaw and Poh Ling Yeow, internationally renowned chef, author, restaurateur and TV star Marco Pierre White will appear at next year’s IGA Taste Great Southern.

White will appear at the Albany Food and Wine Festival and the Fervor x Three Anchors dinner on Saturday, March 17.  He will spend the following day exploring the region and visiting local attractions.

The festival runs from March 8 to 25, 2018 with events in Albany, Denmark, Mount Barker, Porongurup, Frankland River, Katanning and Kojonup.

Tourism Minister Paul Papalia congratulated the festival’s organisers for securing White to appear at the event.

“Marco Pierre White has been one of the biggest names in the culinary world for decades and it is a massive coup to have him appear at Taste Great Southern.

“Congratulations to everyone involved in getting him on board for the 2018 event.

“Culinary events, such as Taste Great Southern, play a crucial role on Western Australia’s diverse events calendar as they help showcase the State’s amazing food and wine regions and help drive visitation.”
