The 2nd stage of the Bendigo Hospital project has been officially completed this morning with the 505 space carpark now available for patients and visitors.
The helipad on the roof of the parking complex is also available for use with helicopters no longer needing to land at the airport to transport emergency patients to the hospital.
The carpark, helipad, airbridge over Arnold St and conference centre were stage 2 of the project after the new Bendigo Hospital officially opened in January last year.
The project cost around 630 million dollars to complete since the process began almost 12 years ago.
Bendigo Health chairman Bob Cameron told media yesterday it's a landmark day for the organisation and he expects Premier Daniel Andrews to officially open stage 2 in August.
