Police are investigating two incidents where a man approached young girls travelling on buses in the Bendigo area over the past three weeks.
Two girls, aged 10 and 14, caught a bus from Strathdale to Strathfieldsaye about 3.30pm on Monday 23 April.
When the girls got off the bus, a man also got off and began following them.
He called out to the girls, who became frightened and went into a nearby friend’s house.
The man then knocked on door and the friend’s mum opened the door and spoke to the man, who claimed he was a salesman.
He was asked to leave, which he complied with.
In a similar incident, a man called out to a 14-year-old girl who got off the bus at Strathfieldsaye about 4.30pm on Friday 4 May.
The girl has continued walking and the man did not follow on this occasion.
Detectives have released an image of a man that may be able to assist with their enquiries.
He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late-30s or 40s, with sandy brown hair and a slim build.
