We live in a democratic society, and that means that you get to have your say, even on the little things. Right now, VicRoads is asking for your feedback on their proposed locations for a new lights-controlled pedestrian crossing on Condon Street, Kennington.
The City of Greater Bendigo is implementing a new Walking and Cycling Strategy to allow for more people to walk and cycle in Greater Bendigo. Why? Because according to the Active Living Census, walking and cycling are the most popular ways residents of Greater Bendigo keep physically active.
One of the many ongoing projects to achieve this is a pedestrian crossing on Condon Street. Condon is a majorly busy road, carrying around 19,000 vehicles every day. VicRoads has identified two possible locations for the crossing…
To have your say in the preferred location and design of the crossing, complete the VicRoads survey by midnight on Friday 24th August. VicRoads will use the survey results, in conjunction with research data, to develop a final concept which they will present to state government for funding.
