Brisbane Set For A Wet End To The Week

Queensland is bracing for a downpour over the next few days, the Bureau of Meteorology predicting falls of up to 100mm in some drought-affected areas which could lead to flooding.

A low pressure system will track south from Cairns starting on Wednesday and is likely to hit Brisbane and the South-East by Friday, continuing into Saturday, bringing possible severe thunderstorms.

The system is expected to produce the heaviest rainfall Central Queensland has seen since Cyclone Debbie in March.
