Police need to hear from anyone who saw a car get rammed on the Riverside Expressway during Wednesday's peak run to work and school.
Police say both cars were travelling inbound on the Riverside Expressway near Coronation Drive when the male driver of one vehicle started arguing two men in the other car.
It is alleged the man then tried to hit the passenger of the second vehicle through the window while still driving, before deliberately ramming the other car, pushing it across three lanes of traffic.
The man then allegedly pulled over on the median strip and got out of his car, jumped on the bonnet of the other car, stomping on the windscreen before punching the 23-year-old male passenger through the window.
He's also accused of assaulting a 24-year-old witness who tried to help the victim.
The two victims are nursing facial injuries.
The victim’s vehicle (pictured below), a green 1997 Holden Statesman, sustained serious damage as a result of the incident.
The man’s car (pictured) is described as silver coloured 2005 Suzuki Swift.
Police are appealing for anyone who may dashcam footage or witnessed the alleged incident to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers.
