Two people have been charged with the murder of Logan toddler Baden Bond, who went missing nearly 10 years ago.
The pair, a 43-year-old Woodridge woman and a 49-year-old man, from Toormina on the NSW north coast, are both due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning charged with killing the 22-month old.
Police allege the toddler was killed sometime between March and May in 2007, either at his family home in Woodridge or elsewhere in Queensland.
Baden's family moved from Woodridge to NSW less than six months after he disappeared, but he wasn't officially reported missing until just last year.
The charges come after police launched a public appeal for information on the toddler on Wednesday, amid growing suspicions he had been murdered.
Detective Inspector Damien Hansen said investigators had been unable "to find any evidence of Baden existing" after March 27, 2007.
This week, police located bones buried in the backyard of the family's Woodridge home, but they're yet to be examined.
