Police are worried about a father and son missing from Mount Gravatt since the weekend.

The 56 and 8 year olds were last seen at the Mt Gravatt Lookout at about 4.30pm on Friday June 9, and some family members heard from them the following day. Since then, there's been nothing.

It's believed the pair may've travelled south, to Lismore. They may be in a white Ford transit van.

Police and the family are worried about the pair, saying the disappearance is very out of character.

The 56-year-old man is described as Caucasian in appearance, 163 cm tall, slim build and grey hair.

The 8-year-old boy is described Caucasian in appearance, 100 cm tall, heavy build and brown hair.

Any members of the public who may have information in relation to the whereabouts of the man and boy are asked to contact Policelink on 131 444, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
