Got A Spare $20 Mill? Cos The Normanby Is Up For Sale The Normanby Hotel

Most of us living in Brisvegas have spent countless nights at this famous watering hole, and now The Normanby Hotel is hitting the real estate market for the first time in almost 20 years.

The 128-year-old, heritage listed hotel last changed owners in 1999, when it was purchased local millionaire businessman Michael Dempsey and Otto Willhelm, who gave the place a massive refurbishment before the 2003 Rugby World Cup.

The hotel also use to house one of Brisbane's most well-known trees, a 100-year-old fig tree, that had to be removed from the site in 2016 after a severe storm knocked it over.

Industry insiders expect the property to fetch at least $20 million thanks to its CBD-close positioning and the lot's larger than normal sizing.
