Man Injured In Ascot After A Wall Collapsed On Top Of Him

A man has back and leg injuries after a wall collapsed on him at a Brisbane construction site.

Emergency services were called following reports of a "structural collapse" which trapped the man on Nudgee Road at Ascot before 12.30pm on Monday.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the man was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a stable condition.

It's understood the man was working on the Woolworths supermarket development, bordering the Eagle Farm Racecourse.

Queensland Workplace Health and Safety confirmed they were investigating the incident.

In 2016, two men died while working inside the Eagle Farm Racecourse when a concrete slab fell on them.
