Officers located a body, stuffed in a barrel in the back of a ute, that was dumped in a mobile home park.
They say that ute and a man were last seen speeding off from a property in the nearby suburb of Buccan yesterday afternoon, while officers were there investigating the disappearance of a teenage girl.
Forensic crews are yet to formally identify the body, but are treating the discovery at a homicide.
Police are now looking for a man believed to be travelling in a silver late model Holden Commodore sedan, with QLD rego 966WKB. They believe he may be armed.
