It was a horrible end to what should have been a fun celebration overnight, with a couple of violent drive-by attacks on trick or treaters.
The first happened at Pelican Waters on the Sunshine Coast where a paint ball gun is believed to have been used. Two 15 year old boys were hit in the face by pellets, one of them hitting very close to the eye.
While the victims were treated by paramedics and at hospital, Police started searching the area around Westholme Circuit for those responsible.
Two teenagers - a 17 year old from Little Mountain and 18 year old Pelican Waters - have since been charged with two counts each of assault occasioning bodily harm.
They'll face court at Caloundra later in the month.
Meantime, Logan police are looking for witnesses after some water balloons were hurled from a car towards trick or treaters walking along Kaiser Drive at Windaroo.
A newborn baby boy is among those hit by the thrown balloons. The boy's mother, Jackie Kennedy, made a report to police, with the colour and 4WD style of the vehicle involved, but no registration plate details.
"I understand people don’t like Halloween and I guarantee it was some sh**head teenagers that did it. I’d like to think any adult wouldn’t target children," Jackie said.
