The Department of Education has been on alert following concerns that several North Lakes schools are at the centre of online treats.
The investigation is ongoing, with police working with service providers to establish the identity of the people or person posting the messages.
"At this stage, we are working with QLD Education in keeping the schools open," a police spokesperson said.
"We don't have any credible information at this point in time with regards to the individuals or groups.
"I can assure you that students attending those schools are safe with the current activities we are conducting."
It is understood that there are two threats specifically being examined, which the police spokesperson said were "similar in their wording".
The threats referred to both state and independent schools, however the specific schools at the centre of concerns have not been publicly named.
