Police have resumed an investigation into the death of Bruce Saunders, who died after falling in a woodchipper in Queensland last year.
Shredded body parts have been discovered during a scouring of the site of the incident yesterday.
It is believed that the man, 54, was killed while trying to help a woman clear her driveway with two friends last year in Goomboorian, near Gympie.
According to the Courier Mail, three people of interest have emerged in the investigation.
“We’re conducting a more thorough search of the area where the woodchipper was,” Wide Bay Burnett District Detective Inspector Gary Pettiford said.
“All up there’s about 160sq m that we’re searching. It’s methodical, painstaking work.”
The prospect of it being an accident at the fault of the machine has been ruled out, with Inspector Pettiford stating that there was nothing wrong with the machine or safety features.
