Queensland Government Partners With YouTube To Stop Cyber Bullying

The Queensland Government will partner with YouTube as a part of an initiative to stop cyber bullying.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk paid a visit to the LA-based YouTube Space Hub to establish the partnership as a part of the new Anti-Cyber Bullying Task Force, which was set up following the death of Queensland student Amy "Dolly" Everett.

The aim of the task force is to help "vulnerable young Queenslanders" and provide "tools to combat harassment and peer pressure".

"If we are going to tackle cyberbullying, we need a multi-layered approach that brings the anti-bullying message out of the classroom and onto the digital platforms young people are increasingly engaging with," Ms Palaszczuk said.
