A severe thunderstorm warning is in place in south-east Queensland as a storm intensifies.
The Bureau of Meteorology has warned that a "very dangerous" thunderstorm was detected on the weather radar, moving north-east towards the Gold Coast region.
It's forecast to affect the McPherson Range by 2:45pm and Springbrook by 3:15pm local time.
As well as thunderstorms, it will bring heavy rain, large hailstones and damaging wines.
A thunderstorm warning is also in place more generally across the Scenic Rim as well as parts of Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Logan, Gold Coast and Southern Downs.
