A violent end to Brisbane's Ekka public holiday, with up to 20 revellers involved in a wild brawl outside a Fortitude Valley nightclub early on Thursday morning.
Police say a 19-year-old man was stabbed during the altercation outside X & Y Bar just after 2am, he suffered non-life threatening wounds to the abdomen and is undergoing surgery in the RBH. Another man suffered a non-life threatening wound to the mouth.
Acting Inspector Steve Wadderson said police haven't ruled out laying charges.
"At this point and time the incident is still under investigation, we've still got some CCTV to review. Initial reports indicate there is up to 20 persons involved," he said.
Officers are appealing to any witnesses in the area at the time of the disturbance to please contact them.
It was also an eventful day for police at the Ekka Races at Doomben, more than 30 race-goers were slapped with charges and court dates after being sniffed out by police drug dogs.
