To celebrate joining Marto and Robin on The Big Breakfast, Lawrence "The Moonman" Mooney decided that he should host an Open Mic Night and invite Brisbane's funniest people to join him.

Finally, after weeks of hilarious build-up, Wednesday meant we could head along to the Sit Down Comedy Club at the Paddo Tavern for an adults-only night of X-rated laughs - and plenty of swearing.

Here's Marto and Robin and the man of the moment, Lawrence Mooney

Plus music from the super talented Calais

The Moonman kicked the night off by warming up the crowd with some classic Mooney gags, including his spot-on Malcolm Turnbull bit, which we always love to hear.

And then, it was time for the Open Mic-ers; Moonman had handpicked four up-and-comers, Suraj Kolarkar, Glen Spring, Marcus Thorpe and Nick Carr, to join him on stage.

Marcus Thorpe had the crowd in stitches

While Toowoomba resident Nick Carr rounded up the night

Brisbane's comedy king Lindsay Webb also popped by and smashed it. If you have a chance to catch this guy again, do! What a legend.

It wasn't just us who found everyone hilarious; you guys laughed from start to finish - and we have the photos to prove it.

Ultimately, Suraj took home the gong for being the funniest guy onstage which means it won't be the last time he has us giggling. Keep an eye on the bill at the Paddo to see Suraj and the rest of the Open Mic-ers again.

Congrats mate!
