The controversial proposal to pull apart the Daintree ferry and replace it with a bridge is back on the agenda after decades of backfire.
Leichhardt MP Warren Entsch is organising a town-hall meeting on March 20 to figure out locals stance on the proposed plan.
Entsch's yet-to-be-disclosed meeting is being fueled as frustrations mount over the ferry operations with the ferry shut down from Wednesday for maintenance.
The temporary closure will block vehicle traffic across the river for five days with rising concern for ferry wait time for commuters over that period.
