The Great Pyramid race and Country Fair is on in Gordonvale Saturday. The race starts at 8.30am with the family day at Alley Park which includes local pop up stalls, amusement rides and Cairns on a Fork.

Maddi and Marks Reno Rules for the Ronald McDonald Retreat Palm Cove has been completed. The unit is open on Saturday from 10am – noon for you to check out the finished 4 day reno. It’s located at the Mantra Amphora


Sunday is World Helicopter Day and to celebrate Nautilus Aviation have an open day from 1-3pm. They will be offering 10 minute scenic flights for $70pp and a colouring competition for the kiddies! This is also a great chance for kiddies of all ages to visit our Hangar and meet our Pilots and view our aircraft! They are located Hangar 9, Aeroglen.


The Barrier Reef 1000 is on Saturday at the Edmonton Speedway. Check out the nation’s top solo riders, no brakes, no gears, no fear. Gates open at 4pm, racing starts at 6pm.


Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Carnival is on Sunday between 12 and 3pm on 4 Mile Beach. The 5 clubs part of the North Queensland Branch will battle it out, Spectators are welcome to cheer the kids & adults.
