The SES is painting the town ORANGE for Wear Orange Wednesday (WOW Day) on 10 May. The SES is encouraging everyone to wear something orange to work or school and use the hashtag #thankyouses to show their support for their volunteers and the extraordinary work that they do.
When major events occur such as Tropical Cyclone Debbie, SES volunteers come from across the country to provide assistance with search
operations, evacuations, and flood rescues.
Training relentlessly in readiness for a disaster, the SES army of volunteers are always ready to help with storm, flood and tsunami response,
as well as land searches, road crash rescues and emergency repairs to damaged properties.
This Wednesday wear Orange to work to show your support.
