A man and woman have been charged after officers from the Police Transport Command found drugs, housebreaking implements, and a knife in a car during a vehicle stop in Wyong yesterday.
About 2.20am, officers from the Police Transport Command stopped a Ford Focus sedan in the commuter car park of Wyong Railway Station.
Following investigations, officers searched the vehicle and seized drugs believed to be ice and cannabis, as well as fraudulent cheques, mobile phones, housebreaking implements and a knife.
The items will undergo forensic examinations.
The driver, a 34-year-old man, and passenger, a 29-year-old woman, were arrested and taken to Wyong Police Station.
Further investigations revealed the driver’s licence was suspended.
The driver was charged with drive whilst suspended, and the passenger was charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, possess housebreaking implements, possession of a knife, stealing and good in custody.
They were refused bail and are due to appear at Wyong Local Court today.
