An alleged arsonist has been refused bail to face Gosford Local court today, after he allegedly caused a fire in bushland at West Gosford yesterday afternoon.
About 3.15pm, emergency services were called to bushland on Racecourse Road, following reports of a fire.
Officers from Fire & Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze, while also detaining a man nearby.
Brisbane Water Local Area Command attended and arrested a 47-year-old, taking him to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with intentionally cause fire and be reckless as to its spread.
The blaze was contained to bushland with no reported property damage or injury.
