Residents who have been fighting a boarding house at Ourimbah for nearly three years are calling for supporters to join them at the proposed Glen Road site this morning.

Spokesperson Allan Benson says it's going to the Land and Environment Court, and is expected to take three days.

Mr Benson says locals aren't satisfied the four-storey facility would fit with the character of the suburb.

“We believe the bulk and the scale of the building is totally out of character with the semi-rural nature of Ourimbah,” Mr Benson says.

“There’ll be 101 rooms and on 19 parking spots, and there are also minor concerns about who the residents of this boarding house will be.

“The developers claim it’ll be University students – we don’t believe that.”
