Ausgrid is thanking customers for their patience, as hundreds across the Coast remain without power afters storms nearly 24 hours ago.
Michelle Stone from the power provider says some of their vital infrastructure in the region took direct hits from thunderstorms this morning.
"We had lightning strikes hitting a pole in the Kanwal area, and that left 330 people without power," Ms Stone said.
"In Peats Ridge and the Dooralong Valley, the weather brought poles and wires down, so we've had crews out in both areas standing up new poles and stringing new wires.
Power's been restored to 40 customers in Palmdale since Midday, while the other areas mentioned should have it back on by 2 or 2:30pm.
But we're being warned further outages are possible - more lightning is forecast this afternoon.
