Brisbane Water Police are investigating the attempted robbery of a 58 old man at Ettalong beach on Friday night.
Police say he was walking home along Springwood St at 11:15pm when he was hit from behind and fell to the ground.
Three men stood over him demanding his wallet and then assaulted him when he refused, punching and kicking him. Residents heard his crys for help and attended to the victim with the male offenders running north along Springwood Street.
The victim was conveyed to Gosford Hospital with bruising and cuts to his face and ribs.
The POI's are described as teenage boys between 15 to 17 years old.
One male POI wearing a white t-shirt and two other POI's wearing grey hooded jumpers. All offenders are described as being under 180cm tall with 2 males described as thin and one medium.
