Meantime, a 40 year old man is currently nursing serious injuries in Sydney's Westmead hospital, after slamming into a power pole in his car at Somersby yesterday afternoon (image above).
Wet conditions and a bend in Wiseman's ferry road appear to have contributed to the accident, which saw the power pole snap after being hit by the drivers side of the car just before 1pm.
Fire and Rescue and paramedics worked to release the trapped man, before Careflight airlifted him to Hospital in a stable condition.
While a third accident saw a car roll onto its side on Tumbi Road - no word on the occupants or any injuries yet.
