It's almost that time of year again when every Australian gets behind either QLD or NSW. Sporting the colours of maroon or blue, get set for 3 eventful nights that divide the country - the State of Origin.

But one thing's for sure: you've got to have plans.

It doesn't matter where you are in the country, there's always numerous bars and pubs that go out of their way to make their venue the prime viewing location for the State of Origin. We've put together a list of the top spots to watch the game right here on the GC!

Diceys Bar & Grill
Where: 71-77 Dawson Road, West Gladstone QLD 4680
What: One of the best pubs Gladstone has to offer! Dicey’s has amazing food to tingle your taste buds, plus they offer the best and biggest parmy in town that will satisfy every parmy lover. Tannum Sands Hotel

What: If you're after a relaxing time to watch the game and have the sea breeze blow through your hair then this is where you want to be! Tannum Sands Hotel is the only pub in Tannum but that doesn’t mean it is lacking food, drinks or the venue. They have it all and more that you could want to escape for a bit after work to have a drink and watch the game.

Park Avenue Hotel
Where: Crn Haynes and Main Streets, Park Avenue, North Rockhampton QLD 4701
What: Park Avenue Hotel or PA as the locals call it. Has the best that Rockhampton has to offer. Recently refurbished, it has won The Best Overall Hotel of the Year for Regional at the AHA Awards! You can sit outside or inside both over a huge screen so you can watch every second of the game, full bar service with nine beers on tap, fantastic daily specials, a kid’s corner, what else do you want to watch the game?
