The demolition of the former Orange Base Hospital are continuing this week, a new phase of works beginning yesterday.
The tallest section of the hospital tower will gradually be pulled down from top to bottom, over the next few days.
Works kick off on the Prince Street side of the tower, before moving to the western side of Sale Street.
Meanwhile, nostalgic residents have enjoyed the recent council initiative, which saw bricks from the old maternity ward, available to the community for a gold coin donation.
In total, 900 bricks were picked up, locals with fond memories of the hospital helping to raise $1400 for the Premi- Babes of Association of Orange.
